Get the balance right

,,,The military needs a Strategic Defence Review - very urgently now .  It’s also time for our defence chiefs - the head of the  Navy, Army and Air Force, to put the security of the nation before the interests of their own individual services and petty inter-service rivalries aside too.

The malaysian military is still effectively equipped kind of to fight a war against a conventional adversary - an event which is wholly unlikely to happen. Tomorrow’s threat will not come from strong nations as in the past, but internally from weak or failed government. Just watch the events surrounding us, as in Thailand and Philippines plus Burma.
,,,What is the use of heavy Challenger tanks, even if the Army wants them, against an enemy who lives and fights amongst a rural populace and whose "hearts and minds" we have to win?
,,,What use is the multi-billion ringgit  submarine fleet against such an enemy which attacks with hijack civilian airliners as demonstrated at the world trade centre ?
,,,Why having too many different types of fighter aircrafts now so sophisticated and complicated that at the moment it can’t even fly often enough due to high specialized maintenance contract costings or lacking in spare parts probably due to lack in budget fundings - all of which may have indeed restricted its ability to fly. Such poor planning and madness !.

,,,Previously as experienced in the fight against the CTs, our troops were being killed and injured by ambushes and booby traps because they are forced to travel by road rather than by air due to a shortage of transport helicopters.

,,,Ground troops will continue to face such potential hazards unless petty inter-service rivalries are killed off - hopefully this is the first step in the right direction.

,,,There is no suggestion that all of these conventional weapons should be scrapped but we must get the balance right.

Stop the blame game please, MELAYU wake up.

,,,its not just about capitalist sytem etc etc and its flaws but i guess there is more to it.

,,,the basic feudalism of malay society is what needs addressing by the existing leadership i.e. the elite political putrarajas since they have kind of robbed that role from the malay sultan rajas.
...If the value system and ethical code needs changing then either these political leaders lead or its up to new leadership like the likes of you and many others to show the way by good examples.
,,, Such in a feudal society of ours, leadership plays indeed a BIG role. Its also about time that the islamic faith be properly interpreted to our malay brothers/sisters without fear or favor. Islam don't just belongs to the malays in this country too.
...Most unfortunately the present malay society indeed needs therapeutic diagnosis and assistence, such is the desperate situation in which most present malays find themselves but there is no one to turn too readily. So very unfortunately, they can easily be taken advantage of and dominated by dirty politicians and the likes.
,,,In actual fact, all of MALAYSIAN inter-racial society needs such a review, in the attempt to pinpoint our basic faults that must be corrected or adjusted to help progress forward for a better nation.
,,,In a nut shell, we just need high quality matured leadership with high morality and sincerity to lead us. Its not a MALAY problem but a MALAYSIAN subject issue to be REVIEWED honestly with the RIGHT POLITICAL WILL.

Transformation of our Malaysian Mindset.

...We Malaysian must all grow up and not be constrained by such talks on being
"conservative or liberal" plus by which political parties or side of the coin, worse still having bloody "RACE" to determine the Nation's policy, Education policy and whatsoever rubbish our darm politicians will vomit out !...lets grow out of this stupidity together.

...Don’t let the existing self centred politicians TALK DOWN to you all. Don’t let them tell us how bloody fortunate we are, that you/me/us are the future of the nation, etc. If you close-up your independent mindset and flow with their flattery you have unfortunately unknownly joined their gravy train, a rusty vehicle taking the nation down a dark sink hole. If they ever tell you the future is in your hands kindly request that they bloody hand across that future over first. Ask them how come the youngest member of our cabinet is way past 45 years old and is full of pea brains ?
...Mind you, in our early Tunku's Merdeka cabinet period, the average age was below thirty. YES indeed, the present groups of Malaysian is not the only generation to be bright. Mine too, during my days wasn’t too bloody stupid either yaa. But indeed the present Malaysian tak kira umur (regardless of age)could after the last fifty odd years to push this nation through a major transformation.
...And it is a TRANSFORMATION we need real desperate, and am not kidding here. The TIME is RIGHT for it.

...You/me/us will be told that much is expected of us Malaysian, much has been given to and so forth plus we must be FOREVER BLOODY greatful. This is all true kind of somehow fortunately or unfortunately. Actually much has also been stolen from all of us !!!!. Over the last twenty five years, much of the hard earned wealth generated by our productive people and our vast resources has been looted. This was supposed to have been ours to benefit for our children's future. The uncomplicated sense of belonging fully, wholeheartedly, unreservedly, to this country, in all it diversity, that has been taken from us. Our sense of ourselves as Malaysians, a free and united people, has been replaced by a tale of racial strife and crazy stupid resentment that continues to haunt us. The truth is, this tale is false and fabricated by them connish foxy racist politicians.

...The most precious thing our present generation have been deprived of has been our history. Being someone of the older generation, i still find it hard to describe what must seem like a completely different country to you now.
...Our beautiful Malaysia was not born in strife but in UNITY. Our independence was achieved through a collective demonstration of unity by the people in supporting a multiracial government led by late Tengku Abdul Rahman. That show of unity, demonstrated first through the municipal elections of 1952 and then through the Alliance’s landslide victory in the elections of 1955, showed that the people of Malaya were united in wanting their freedom. We bloody did totally surprised the British colonial masters, who thought we could not achieve this unity. UNITED we stand together and we sure bloody did it.

...UNFORTUNATELY, today we somehow no longer stand as totally united as we were then in the late fifties. We are also kind of less free too nowadays. Is this a bloody coincidence ?.
...Man, it only takes free spirited people to have the psychological strength to overcome the confines of a racialised mindset and over-view. It only takes free people to overcome those corrupted politicians, bent on hanging on to power gained by racializing every feature of our simple basic lifestyle including our critical econonic/education policies.
...Geeee !!!! fellow MALAYSIAN, PLEASE WAKE-UP lah and fight on as an matured individual for your freedom and our collective rights as true Malaysian.

...Am I asking too much here ?. OUR FREEDOM to be a true breed Malaysian together !.

Just being meself last night....reborn again eerrmm.

...Guess it was some hours before dawn I woke up to find myself already in motion, pushing back the blanket from a semi sitting position, and then rising to my feet. Not too clear to myself when exactly i became conscious, nor does it seem relevant.
I stand across the bed naked - i sleep naked as always for the pleasurable sensation. The wrist watch shows three fifty and i have no idea what am doing out of bed; i don't need to relieve myself, nor was i disturbed by a dream or anything that happened on the day before, or any event of the world. It's as if, standing there naked in the darkness, i materialised out of nothing, fully developed or formed, unencumbered.
...I don't feel tired, despite the sweaty labours performed on the island, nor my conscience troubled by any recent case or event. In fact, am bloody alert and empty-headed plus inexplicably elated. With nothing in mind, no motivation at all, i move towards the lounge area and experience such ease and lightness that i thought i was dreaming or sleepwalking across. Fortunately, dreams don't interest me; that this should be real is a richer posibility and am entirely myself, am certain of it, and i know that sleep was behind me; to know the diffirence between it and waking, to know the boundaries, is the essence of sanity.
...the lounge area is large and uncluttered, as i walked across it with almost comic facility, the propect of the experience ending kind of saddens me briefly, then that thought was gone. I have actually stepped down the longhouse stairways to the beach front where i would normally be most of the time, feeling my skin tightens as the cold early morning air pours in around me, now with only a sarung which i must have automatically caught hold before leaving the bed room.
...i looked above me but don't immediately understand what am seeing, though i think i do. In the first moment, in my eagerness and curiosity, i assumes proportions on a planetary scale; it's a meteor burning out in the sky above, traversing left to right, low on the eastern horizon, though well clear of the island hilly slope.
...But surely meteors have a darting, needle like quality. Expecting to see them in a flash before their heat consumes them. But this was moving slowly, majestically even kind of. In that very instant, i revised my perpective outward to the scale of the solar system; this object is not thousands but millions of miles distance, far out in space swinging in timeless orbit around and across the universe. Eerrmmmm !!!! it's a comet, tinged with yellow, with its familiar bright core trailing its fiery envelope.
...am indeed thrilled by the sight before the comet disappeared across the morning sky but its too extraordinary not to share !.
...i walked along the beach front to the jetty and back with Jane ensuring the craps are not blocking my way, before the first sunlight hits the eastern horizon on Kapas Island with me alone on the island but reborn to a new day.

Bloody Malaysian Politicians

,,,eerrmm ! Should I use a cangkul as a spade too at times ..hahhha !!
,,,mind you, the fate of our beloved country in the short to medium term may end up as a failed state, if the politicians, political parties and NGOs of this country are not careful; not unless our nation-building projects is/are re-activated seriously and coldly too !.
,,,plus those who are currently involved in the heightening of tensions in the country ought to realise the cost of their stupid actions on the nation’s image and long-term prospects; and the eventual consequences should the "nation-building project" fail in this country...our "Malaysia".
,,,Our country - like every other country in this globalised world today - has to really fight/earn/creative for our future survival and we are not going to be given a another bloody chance by any body too. Its the reality of life and living.
,,,So, dear all fellow Malaysians we therefore have to unite or perish, together yaa !!. No question about it. Brotherly PEACE please by all of us true malaysian.
,,,to all our bloody Malaysian technocrats and politicians; please just leave stupid emotions outside politics and bloody well govern coldly and rationally. STOP the bloody blame game too. Just get to work and enough of playing crazy racialistic politics.

NOW dear GUYS, how to get this simple message across ?. We don't have to be "bloody" at it too yaa.

Malay Malaysian eeerrrmmm...hello

,,,the Malays is a confused lot of people, they are everybody but no body except for the bloody mafia Putras in Putrajaya !.
,,,they are fighting for their so called stupid RIGHTS to be the under dogs too !. Some claimed to be more Islamic than others and dress up more Arabic than the Arabs themselves. Most or rather majority are hypocrites but claim not to be one. Pretty good in taking short cuts plus ready to blame the world and everyone except themselves. Cannot see another successful individual Malay Malaysian to stand-up and sharing their good experience with life and living. Slow and backwards in THINKING too except for the very very few. Generally, "Tak boleh tengok orang lain senang ?."
,,,the Malays in general must change their mindset and attitude, plus take more "Actions" than just talking/dreaming about it until even the cows refused to come home.
,,,there is still hope for this Malaysian nation too, just forget about racialists politics and policies.
...plus stop sitting on an Arabic high horse too for God's sake.
,,,PLEASE, dear Malay Malaysian just get real and act as an human being like the rest of bro./sis. Malaysian ?. There is no free lunch too yaa. Its hard work plus blood sweat and tears....the only road to success-lah. BUT be smart at it too.

... and SAY NO TO DIRTY CORRUPTED POLITICIANS TOO, vote them out in GE 13.

Facing 'face to face' of life and living.

Dear Ivan,

,,,,its almost similar being a Malay too, we Malays must change to accept the reality of life and living plus accept responsibility ofup-keeping oneself, stop blaming 'others' in the country and acceptthe fact that we are as human as the rest with nil special RIGHTS to earn an honest living without the subsidy mentality plus rid of the'corruption culture' ingrained in some or most of us !. Our mindset is out of fashion too and the fast changing world awaits for no one.
,,,am a Malay by defination but a true Malaysian by spirit and soul. All true Malaysians are my bro. and sis. no matter color, religion orcreep. What is WRONG cannot be politically right too. There is no such thing as special rights for anyone, we are equal in the eyes of God as such should/shall be equally respected as an individual. Dirty andcorrupted politics and politicians should be arrested and those foundbreaking the law be punished accordingly. Respect must be earned bydeeds not forced upon or pressured into.
,,,The Malay culture has been tarnished by these evil characters for their own personal political gainsand for short term personal gain. In fact, the Malays are/is a gentle group of people, fair thinking, honest and God fearing. Their roots goes as far back to China/India/Cambodia/Indonesia/Thailand and finally Malaya. An interesting tribe but kind of lost in history unfortunately due to very little written records or appreciation leftbehind, perhaps yet to be fully discovered.
,,,In fact, Malay history goes as far back as other old cultures in Asia but the local Malays is too Islam centric to admit their non-islamic history. How can one completely remove history ?. Guess only the Malays is good at it ?. Living only for the day, like bloody chickens with no past orfuture....laying just one stupid egg and making so much noise, waking the whole kampung !. ,,,The Malays must learn from others too and don't be too self centered with their so called RIGHTS plus all the bloody bullshit claimed by their misguided leadership to remain as masters when they actually are servants to the rest of the world. We are only masters to ourselves via hard work earned the honest way, no two ways about it. Just stand up and face the reality of life and living, itsso simple.....why all the hoo har ?. Its no big deal really.
,,,i really don't pity the lazy Malays i.e. the stupid individuals that don't learn to fish or to swim when you earn your living above water!.....plus they must stop throwing stones at their glass windows too. Only oneself to take the blame and learn the hard lessons for survival, there is no free lunch or easy way out in this dog eat dogworld of ours. Even the top dog has to earn the respect from othercrazy dogs yaa hehehe

....the moral of the story ?........stop the bloody stupid political nonsense and be real for God's sake-lah.

,,,WAKE-up lah!. Don't get conned again and again by these dirty characters.

Capt. Longhouse

On 6/8/10, Ivan Ang wrote:> *"I am a Muslim by faith.... a Christian by spirit....a Jew by heart....and above all I am a human being." Dr. Tawfik Hamid.*>* Dr. Hamid is an Egyptian scholar and author opposed to Islam fundamentalism. *From the heart of a Muslim - Tawfik Hamid.

,,,"I was born a Muslim and lived all my life as a follower of Islam. After the barbaric terrorist attacks done by the hands of my fellow Muslims, everywhere on this globe, and after the too many violent acts by Islamists in many parts of the world, I feel responsible as a Muslim and as a human being, to speak out and tell the truth to protect the world and Muslims as well from a coming catastrophe and war of civilizations. I have to admit that our current Islamic teaching creates violence and hatred toward Non-Muslims. We Muslims are the ones who need to change. Until now we have accepted polygamy, the beating of women by men, and killing those who convert from Islam to other religions. We have never had a clear and strong stand against the concept of slavery or wars, to spread our religion and to subjugate others to Islam and force them> to pay a humiliating tax called Jizia. We ask others to respect our religion while all the time we curse non-Muslims loudly (in Arabic) in our Friday prayers in the Mosques. What message do we convey to our children when we call the Jews "Descendants of the pigs and monkeys".. Is this a message of love and peace, or a message> of hate?. I have been into churches and synagogues where they were praying for Muslims. While all the time we curse them, and teach our generations to call them infidels, and to hate them. We immediately jump in a 'knee jerk reflex' to defend Prophet Mohammed when someone accuses him of being a pedophile while, at the same time, we are proud with the story in our Islamic books, that he married a young girl seven years old (Aisha) when he was above 50 years old. I am sad to say that many, if not most of us, rejoiced in happiness after September 11th and after many other terror attacks. Muslims denounce these attacks to look good in front of the media, but we condone the Islamic terrorists and sympathise with their cause. Till now our 'reputable' top religious authorities have never issued a Fatwa or religious statement to proclaim Bin Laden as an apostate, while an author, like Rushdie, was declared an apostate who should be killed according to Islamic Shariia law just for writing a book criticizing Islam. Muslims demonstrated to get more religious rights as we did in France to stop the ban on the Hejab (Head Scarf), while we did not demonstrate with> such passion and in such numbers against the terrorist murders. It is our absolute silence against the terrorists that gives the energy to these terrorists to continue doing their evil acts. We Muslims need to stop blaming our problems on others or on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. As a matter of honesty, Israel is the only light of democracy, civilization, and human rights in the whole Middle East . We kicked out the Jews with no compensation or mercy from most of the Arab countries to make them "Jews-Free countries" while Israel accepted more than a million Arabs to live there, have its nationality, and enjoy their rights as human beings. In Israel , women can not be beaten legally by men, and any person can change his/her belief system with no fear of being killed by the Islamic law of 'Apostasy,' while in our Islamic world people do not enjoy any of these rights. I agree that the 'Palestinians' suffer, but they suffer because of their corrupt leaders and not because of Israel . It is not common to see Arabs who live in Israel leaving to live in the Arab world. On the other hand, we used to see thousands of Palestinians going to work with happiness in Israel , its 'enemy'. If Israel treats Arabs badly as some people claim, surely we would have seen the opposite happening. We Muslims need to admit our problems and face them. Only then we can treat them and start a new era to live in harmony with human mankind. Our religious leaders have to show a clear and very strong stand against> polygamy, pedophilia, slavery, killing those who convert from Islam to other religions, beating of women by men, and declaring wars on non-Muslims to spread Islam. Then, and only then, do we have the right to ask others to respect our religion".

,,,The time has come to stop our hypocrisy and say it openly: 'We Muslims have to Change'.

Malaysian politicians.

,,,in fact, i find it bloody hard to trust any malaysian politicians nowadays except the very few !. Which still i find hard to identify right now unfortunately. Most are like snakes, they shed their skin regularly. ,,,time is passing and the world changing yet our bloody politicians can't wake-up to its reality !. Our country has gone obsolute, good for the scrap yard with these kind of poor leadership. We have as a nation fallen behind, because others are moving forward fast. The business of life and living is to go forward. Why the stagnation ? It takes courage to change too. BUT i don't see any of it from our present so called political leaders. Guess many fear for change, they are too complacent to move and they dislike uncertainty.

,,,what a bloody shame, this was a great country now badly mismanaged by those in power. The other malaysian danger here is the tendency to get carried away by power trips by those in power too. We see it happening all the time nowadays !. Its terrible and unbecoming too.

,,,to all the malaysian politicians, your altruism will only reach a high plane when you really care for others outweighs your concern for yourself-lah.

...FAHAM TAK?. INI MASIH INGAT INDIVIDUAL SURVIVAL SAJA, TAK HABIS HABIS.

Opportunities aplenty around you and me.

,,,may i just write this down in black and white hehehe !..that opportunities are everywhere, in the air, under the sea, on the land plus beneath the earth too ! (i was with the Oil&Gas industry for the past 23 years yoo).

,,,Just cruise along any cities, there are thousands upon thousands of businesses running, to be created and launched...buildings awaiting to be repainted. Drive along the country side, there remiles upon miles of land for planting, growing and be harvested

...in pasar malam, I walked into people buying just about anything and learned that people had been trapping grasshoppers, breeding earth worms, which were exported or fed to pets or utilized for fishing etc, the the thousands !..others make cakes, plastic flowers, grow/sell bonsais i.e. tiny plants you can pick along rocky places, sell kebabs or trade in antiques i.e. things which you and me just throw out as rubbish !.

,,,I walk into the jungle and notice heaps of delicious 'wood-ear' fungi, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, nuts, fruits, ferns etc being harvested free from the wild by the orang asli to sell to some middle man, who then makes millions of money a year. In the sea, I see gamat, fishes and jelly-fish plus a few sharks too. I notice a fellow collecting jelly fish, apparently he export it across to japan, worth thousands of ringgit a week !.

,,,Indeed over the years, i have heard of numerous created or seized opportunities, which led to much wealth. Infact, there are just too many example for me to list it down here. The keling bottle man, started buying scrap metal for a song long time ago and accumulated riches. I met an aged fellow back in India a few years back, he is a bloody rich retired keling botoi gentleman nowadays !. There are unlimited opportunities in every industry...hihihi remember where there is an open-mind, there will always be a frontier and OPPORTUNITIES are everywhere. Sometimes, a casual remark from someone can spark an INSPIRATION or the onset of a windfall !!. Be vigilant and keep a constant watch. ..."celek mata"-lah..open your eyes to notice the endless marvels and possibilities, even in our daily lives. You see, what a different set of eyes and attitude can make heaven or hell, diamond of dirt !.

,,,A funny paradox of opportunities is that they often spring from problems and difficulties !

...but good opportunities for me is often disguised as hard labour for others that is why so few people recognize them !! hehehe...or rather yoohohoo ??

...eerrmm i indeed just sell the malaysian hospitalty for a living on the island nowadays ! hihihi

... well, well, well, just noticed lots of bat-shit in the caves too........ kling kling kling sound of cashflow ??

Awakened to be one-self.

,,,My being awakened to liberty and self-choice, unconditioned being-oneself, is the doing of another, like in salvation. In any case, my unconditioned self is oriented towards unconditioned selves, requires and seeks communication with them; my uniqueness is elicited by and requres the uniqueness of others, and is otherwise unthinkable. Being-oneself is not real without communication, just as empty liberty is not real without manifesting itself in choice.
,,,My liberty posits and requires the liberty of everyone else. The magic formula is ; "I will that each other shall be what I strive to become, that he be himself in sincerity and in truth." This appeal to the other is accompanied by self-revelation without reserve ; one dares 'to be naked' before the other ; the formalities, conventions, and reserves of ordinary intercourse are inappropriate to communication at the level of being-oneself. One becomes oneself and brings the other to himself in thus opening oneself to him. For this communication is not the sharing of what is in common but insistence upon the authentic singularity of each. It is therefore conflict, but a 'loving struggle', the struggle of beings who recognize themselves as united but have as a condition of their reality to assert and maintain their difference and to question and challenge themselves and each other.
,,,The truth of each is the truth of himself and for him there is no alternative, his uniqueness is a vital assimilation and affirmation which is his alone ; there is no truth, but there is the truth of others. The 'loving struggle' of communication is the corrective of the unavoidable arbitrariness in this necessary solitude of truth.
,,,Existences are linked by reason and in communiation strive to bring themselves to the unity which they have by faith. The separation is never wholly overcome ; truth remains invincibly multiple, a conflict of absolute not a totality of perspective, a call to being-oneself and to communicate not a form of knowledge, for the total object of knowledge is lost in transcendence which cannot be apprehended in its unity. Here again, therefore, there is frustration ; but no relaxation of the effort to communicate. Communication is between persons who participate in a common world order and collaborate in common tasks which humanize relations between individuals, but communication does not reside in this intercourse, it springs from it. The other is properly constituted for me as a person by my being fully myself, that is, communication is in the world of being-oneself. Otherwise, he is another one like me and all others, an object and a means, a figure in the world, a rational consciousness equivalent with every other, and one who interests me only in so far as we envisage a common object or form a common thought universally valid or participate in a common society. This objectification of communication is like the objectification which reduces the ;\'thou' to a 'he' ; it forms the substration from which true communication may rise and to which it may sink.
,,,Love, 'the absolute consciousness in its plenitude', is always possible, and always desired by the person awakened to being-oneself. Ideas which claim objective validity pass away, but 'there are always the men/ladies with whom I am or can be in communication, and with them what is for me authentic being stands firm'.
,,,However, communication is not limited to comtemporaries physically encountered ; it is possible to seek and to touch authentic being-oneself in history, not necessarily the men/ladies of external greatness and success, but the men/ladies of faith, love, and imagination who move and call me to become myself.
,,,indeed, communication, the most essential of existential tasks, it is the most precious and the most fragile of all possible achievements. You, me can make it or break it, if we are not careful about it, so lets communicate objectively.....hi, hello there ?.

Piracy in the South China Sea and Malacca Straits.

,,,Yoohohoo !!....chopper landed on beach front of Capt's Longhouse, Kapas Island on 14th, 15th and 16th Feb'2010. Visitors of the PirateKing !. Topic for deliberation...geee indeed more about pirates of South China Sea ?(infact, they came for some scuba diving-lah !. hehehe...just kidding yaa.)

,,,Pirates attacks in the South China Sea are increasing and Malaysia has urged the bordering nations to work together to fight the threat. "Piracy there is not conventional any more. Pirates feel that the countries don't patrol the sea enough," Defence Minister Zahid Hamidi was quoted as saying by the New Straits Times newspaper. Zahid said that state-of-the art technology adopted by the navies of some littoral nations were useless without cooperation in combating the high-seas menace. You bet !.

,,,The International Maritime Bureau (IMB), a global maritime watchdog, said there were 22 attacks reported in the area for the first 11 months of this year compared to 17 for the whole of 2008."The cases are quite sporadic as once we report an attack to the authorities the numbers go down but they then slowly creep up again," said Noel Choong, head of the IMB's global piracy reporting centre. He said the affected area lies in a triangle between Indonesia's Anambas Islands, Tioman Island off Malaysia and the eastern Singapore Straits.

,,,The South China Sea is bordered by Brunei, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam. "The challenge for neighbouring countries is to try to contain this piracy level while it is still small before it gets out of control like in Somalia".

,,,Pirate attacks in the Malacca Strait, which was once the world's worst piracy hotspot, have declined sharply in recent years thanks to large-scale coordinated patrols involving Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore plus also partly the after effects of the Tsunami that destroyed the pirate fleets.

,,,More than 30 percent of world trade, and half the world's oil shipments, pass through the busy waterway of the Malacca Strait. And its becoming a bottle neck for the passing ships too.

,,,Surely they should seek some real advise from the KapasPirateKing ?. yoo !

English Language and Education

,,,Guess coming from the older malaysian generation, we still acknowledge and celebrate our ties to British education and British institutions not out of sentimentality but out of an understanding that these are foundational influences that have had much to do with stability and competitiveness as a nation.

,,,British educational, administrative, legal and cultural institutions continue to be of vital importance to us as Malaysians.

,,,We still need to reaffirm these links without political blinkers, understand their cultural, political and economic importance to us, and build on them.

,,,One result of such a change of attitude should be a rethinking of our attitude to the English language. By now it is also a Malaysian language. It would be sheer hypocrisy to deny its value and centrality to us as Malaysians.

,,,Do we continue to deny in political rhetoric what we practice in reality, or do we grasp the situation and come up with better policies for the teaching and adoption of the language?. My question to the ruling elites ??..THINK and use your tiny brains!
,,,Rather than indulge in grand schemes of cultural “import substitution” we should appreciate the extent of these influences and links and explore ways to develop them further.,,,indeed we need to HOTWIRE some heads in PUTRAJAYA too !. Please use your head-lah.

i rest my case.

Stupidity of these racist UMNOputras

,,,unfortunately the present breed of UMNOputras lives and survive within their corrupted system, thou being able to distinguish between right or wrong was a relative simple subject but frankly it does not matter to this breed of human. ,,,We were used to every action was supposed to be considered on its own merits, and thus justice could be applied to everyone regardless of their economic or social status.,,,unfortunately in present Malaysia today, however the guidelines for human conduct were based on circumstances; on rules or laws established by those in power, and designed by them to sustain and extend their power. ,,,Under this bias system, individuals were not protected by absolute principles. Their lives and their fortunes were in the hands of changeable circumstances, as these circumstances were created by those in authority !.,,,Circumstantial ethics also meant that anything you could get by with was all right and did not leave a sense of guilt.,,,Under this racist UMNOputra system, the overruling obligation was the APPEARANCE of doing the "RIGHT" thing; not actually doing it. Form took precedence over content and what you saw or heard was often a facade instead of reality.,,,Morality in the UMNOputra context became something like a show. The primary concern was NOT to get caught in doing something that would be criticized or for which you might be punished. DOING something WRONG was no big deal cos there was NO SENSE of GUILT !.,,,my final take is UMNO must be desolved and a NEW political system or party be recreated with new political leadership that value morality and respect of the law for justice to all Malaysians. ,,,Racial and in fact also religious based political parties should also be 'Out-Lawed' in this country. ,,,Perhaps a two party system might work ?.i rest my case. (and am an apolitical type of individual)

World Conflicts and Malaysian be aware-lah

,,,Wars between nations are usually caused by territorial disputes, ideological rivalry, a lust for conquest or, unfortunately/occasionally, by diplomatic incompetence !.
,,,indeed, diplomatic incompetence remains one of the greatest dangers to the peace of the world.
,,,the Falklands war was a result of diplomatic misjudgement in London and Buenos Aires, and the Six Day War of 1967 was the result of Nasser's folly !.
,,,in fact, the world has never been at peace since the victory celebrations of 1945. They have never ceased !. Presently more than 40 countries in the world are in the unshaking grip of war, rebellion, foreign infiltration, terrorism or endemic banditry.
,,,there have been at least 80 wars since 1945, resulting in the deaths of between 15 and 30 million people. Many many millions have been driven from their homes too.
,,,what most people don't realised is that most of the conflicts in the world today are between peoples and races. Only a few are between nations, and even fewer are ideological.
.,,,if anything, the world has become more violent with each succeeding decade since the murderous '40.
,,,there are a few instances of a conscious rejection of past hatreds. In the 1950s, France and West Germany decided, consciously and deliberately, to end a quarrel reaching back centuries, one that had caused three wars within 70 years. This achievement is particularly admirable because the engine that powers most of the wars in today's world is ethnic hostility. Of that, apparently, there is no bloody end.
,,,mind you, hatred can be manifested in many different ways and many different places. Hatred can be inspired by ideology, like that of the Khmers Rouges or the Shining Path in Peru,by ancestral ethnic or religious animosities, like the Hindus and Muslims who slaughtered each other in India in 1947, or the Protestants and Catholics in Belfast, by racism, like the Americans in the South who, in the 1960s, beat up and sometimes murdered black 'freedom riders', by tribal rivalry, like the Tutsi and Hutu of Burundi and Rwanda.
,,,indeed, its all an extreme test for rationality and diplomacy that we MALAYSIAN must be made aware of-lah. Lets again not relearnt the hard way in keeping the peace and harmony within our country plus at all times also be prepared for war ?. too !.
i rest my case.
