,,,The military needs a Strategic Defence Review - very urgently now . It’s also time for our defence chiefs - the head of the Navy, Army and Air Force, to put the security of the nation before the interests of their own individual services and petty inter-service rivalries aside too.
The malaysian military is still effectively equipped kind of to fight a war against a conventional adversary - an event which is wholly unlikely to happen. Tomorrow’s threat will not come from strong nations as in the past, but internally from weak or failed government. Just watch the events surrounding us, as in Thailand and Philippines plus Burma.
,,,What is the use of heavy Challenger tanks, even if the Army wants them, against an enemy who lives and fights amongst a rural populace and whose "hearts and minds" we have to win?
,,,What use is the multi-billion ringgit submarine fleet against such an enemy which attacks with hijack civilian airliners as demonstrated at the world trade centre ?
,,,Why having too many different types of fighter aircrafts now so sophisticated and complicated that at the moment it can’t even fly often enough due to high specialized maintenance contract costings or lacking in spare parts probably due to lack in budget fundings - all of which may have indeed restricted its ability to fly. Such poor planning and madness !.
,,,Previously as experienced in the fight against the CTs, our troops were being killed and injured by ambushes and booby traps because they are forced to travel by road rather than by air due to a shortage of transport helicopters.
,,,Ground troops will continue to face such potential hazards unless petty inter-service rivalries are killed off - hopefully this is the first step in the right direction.
,,,There is no suggestion that all of these conventional weapons should be scrapped but we must get the balance right.

Malaysian politicians.
,,,in fact, i find it bloody hard to trust any malaysian politicians nowadays except the very few !. Which still i find hard to identify right now unfortunately. Most are like snakes, they shed their skin regularly. ,,,time is passing and the world changing yet our bloody politicians can't wake-up to its reality !. Our country has gone obsolute, good for the scrap yard with these kind of poor leadership. We have as a nation fallen behind, because others are moving forward fast. The business of life and living is to go forward. Why the stagnation ? It takes courage to change too. BUT i don't see any of it from our present so called political leaders. Guess many fear for change, they are too complacent to move and they dislike uncertainty.
,,,what a bloody shame, this was a great country now badly mismanaged by those in power. The other malaysian danger here is the tendency to get carried away by power trips by those in power too. We see it happening all the time nowadays !. Its terrible and unbecoming too.
,,,to all the malaysian politicians, your altruism will only reach a high plane when you really care for others outweighs your concern for yourself-lah.
...FAHAM TAK?. INI MASIH INGAT INDIVIDUAL SURVIVAL SAJA, TAK HABIS HABIS.

Opportunities aplenty around you and me.
,,,may i just write this down in black and white hehehe !..that opportunities are everywhere, in the air, under the sea, on the land plus beneath the earth too ! (i was with the Oil&Gas industry for the past 23 years yoo).
,,,Just cruise along any cities, there are thousands upon thousands of businesses running, to be created and launched...buildings awaiting to be repainted. Drive along the country side, there remiles upon miles of land for planting, growing and be harvested
...in pasar malam, I walked into people buying just about anything and learned that people had been trapping grasshoppers, breeding earth worms, which were exported or fed to pets or utilized for fishing etc, the the thousands !..others make cakes, plastic flowers, grow/sell bonsais i.e. tiny plants you can pick along rocky places, sell kebabs or trade in antiques i.e. things which you and me just throw out as rubbish !.
,,,I walk into the jungle and notice heaps of delicious 'wood-ear' fungi, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, nuts, fruits, ferns etc being harvested free from the wild by the orang asli to sell to some middle man, who then makes millions of money a year. In the sea, I see gamat, fishes and jelly-fish plus a few sharks too. I notice a fellow collecting jelly fish, apparently he export it across to japan, worth thousands of ringgit a week !.
,,,Indeed over the years, i have heard of numerous created or seized opportunities, which led to much wealth. Infact, there are just too many example for me to list it down here. The keling bottle man, started buying scrap metal for a song long time ago and accumulated riches. I met an aged fellow back in India a few years back, he is a bloody rich retired keling botoi gentleman nowadays !. There are unlimited opportunities in every industry...hihihi remember where there is an open-mind, there will always be a frontier and OPPORTUNITIES are everywhere. Sometimes, a casual remark from someone can spark an INSPIRATION or the onset of a windfall !!. Be vigilant and keep a constant watch. ..."celek mata"-lah..open your eyes to notice the endless marvels and possibilities, even in our daily lives. You see, what a different set of eyes and attitude can make heaven or hell, diamond of dirt !.
,,,A funny paradox of opportunities is that they often spring from problems and difficulties !
...but good opportunities for me is often disguised as hard labour for others that is why so few people recognize them !! hehehe...or rather yoohohoo ??
...eerrmm i indeed just sell the malaysian hospitalty for a living on the island nowadays ! hihihi
... well, well, well, just noticed lots of bat-shit in the caves too........ kling kling kling sound of cashflow ??

Awakened to be one-self.
,,,My being awakened to liberty and self-choice, unconditioned being-oneself, is the doing of another, like in salvation. In any case, my unconditioned self is oriented towards unconditioned selves, requires and seeks communication with them; my uniqueness is elicited by and requres the uniqueness of others, and is otherwise unthinkable. Being-oneself is not real without communication, just as empty liberty is not real without manifesting itself in choice.
,,,My liberty posits and requires the liberty of everyone else. The magic formula is ; "I will that each other shall be what I strive to become, that he be himself in sincerity and in truth." This appeal to the other is accompanied by self-revelation without reserve ; one dares 'to be naked' before the other ; the formalities, conventions, and reserves of ordinary intercourse are inappropriate to communication at the level of being-oneself. One becomes oneself and brings the other to himself in thus opening oneself to him. For this communication is not the sharing of what is in common but insistence upon the authentic singularity of each. It is therefore conflict, but a 'loving struggle', the struggle of beings who recognize themselves as united but have as a condition of their reality to assert and maintain their difference and to question and challenge themselves and each other.
,,,The truth of each is the truth of himself and for him there is no alternative, his uniqueness is a vital assimilation and affirmation which is his alone ; there is no truth, but there is the truth of others. The 'loving struggle' of communication is the corrective of the unavoidable arbitrariness in this necessary solitude of truth.
,,,Existences are linked by reason and in communiation strive to bring themselves to the unity which they have by faith. The separation is never wholly overcome ; truth remains invincibly multiple, a conflict of absolute not a totality of perspective, a call to being-oneself and to communicate not a form of knowledge, for the total object of knowledge is lost in transcendence which cannot be apprehended in its unity. Here again, therefore, there is frustration ; but no relaxation of the effort to communicate. Communication is between persons who participate in a common world order and collaborate in common tasks which humanize relations between individuals, but communication does not reside in this intercourse, it springs from it. The other is properly constituted for me as a person by my being fully myself, that is, communication is in the world of being-oneself. Otherwise, he is another one like me and all others, an object and a means, a figure in the world, a rational consciousness equivalent with every other, and one who interests me only in so far as we envisage a common object or form a common thought universally valid or participate in a common society. This objectification of communication is like the objectification which reduces the ;\'thou' to a 'he' ; it forms the substration from which true communication may rise and to which it may sink.
,,,Love, 'the absolute consciousness in its plenitude', is always possible, and always desired by the person awakened to being-oneself. Ideas which claim objective validity pass away, but 'there are always the men/ladies with whom I am or can be in communication, and with them what is for me authentic being stands firm'.
,,,However, communication is not limited to comtemporaries physically encountered ; it is possible to seek and to touch authentic being-oneself in history, not necessarily the men/ladies of external greatness and success, but the men/ladies of faith, love, and imagination who move and call me to become myself.
,,,indeed, communication, the most essential of existential tasks, it is the most precious and the most fragile of all possible achievements. You, me can make it or break it, if we are not careful about it, so lets communicate objectively.....hi, hello there ?.

Piracy in the South China Sea and Malacca Straits.
,,,Yoohohoo !!....chopper landed on beach front of Capt's Longhouse, Kapas Island on 14th, 15th and 16th Feb'2010. Visitors of the PirateKing !. Topic for deliberation...geee indeed more about pirates of South China Sea ?(infact, they came for some scuba diving-lah !. hehehe...just kidding yaa.)
,,,Pirates attacks in the South China Sea are increasing and Malaysia has urged the bordering nations to work together to fight the threat. "Piracy there is not conventional any more. Pirates feel that the countries don't patrol the sea enough," Defence Minister Zahid Hamidi was quoted as saying by the New Straits Times newspaper. Zahid said that state-of-the art technology adopted by the navies of some littoral nations were useless without cooperation in combating the high-seas menace. You bet !.
,,,The International Maritime Bureau (IMB), a global maritime watchdog, said there were 22 attacks reported in the area for the first 11 months of this year compared to 17 for the whole of 2008."The cases are quite sporadic as once we report an attack to the authorities the numbers go down but they then slowly creep up again," said Noel Choong, head of the IMB's global piracy reporting centre. He said the affected area lies in a triangle between Indonesia's Anambas Islands, Tioman Island off Malaysia and the eastern Singapore Straits.
,,,The South China Sea is bordered by Brunei, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam. "The challenge for neighbouring countries is to try to contain this piracy level while it is still small before it gets out of control like in Somalia".
,,,Pirate attacks in the Malacca Strait, which was once the world's worst piracy hotspot, have declined sharply in recent years thanks to large-scale coordinated patrols involving Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore plus also partly the after effects of the Tsunami that destroyed the pirate fleets.
,,,More than 30 percent of world trade, and half the world's oil shipments, pass through the busy waterway of the Malacca Strait. And its becoming a bottle neck for the passing ships too.
,,,Surely they should seek some real advise from the KapasPirateKing ?. yoo !
English Language and Education
,,,Guess coming from the older malaysian generation, we still acknowledge and celebrate our ties to British education and British institutions not out of sentimentality but out of an understanding that these are foundational influences that have had much to do with stability and competitiveness as a nation.
,,,British educational, administrative, legal and cultural institutions continue to be of vital importance to us as Malaysians.
,,,We still need to reaffirm these links without political blinkers, understand their cultural, political and economic importance to us, and build on them.
,,,One result of such a change of attitude should be a rethinking of our attitude to the English language. By now it is also a Malaysian language. It would be sheer hypocrisy to deny its value and centrality to us as Malaysians.
,,,Do we continue to deny in political rhetoric what we practice in reality, or do we grasp the situation and come up with better policies for the teaching and adoption of the language?. My question to the ruling elites ??..THINK and use your tiny brains!
,,,Rather than indulge in grand schemes of cultural “import substitution” we should appreciate the extent of these influences and links and explore ways to develop them further.,,,indeed we need to HOTWIRE some heads in PUTRAJAYA too !. Please use your head-lah.
i rest my case.

Stupidity of these racist UMNOputras
,,,unfortunately the present breed of UMNOputras lives and survive within their corrupted system, thou being able to distinguish between right or wrong was a relative simple subject but frankly it does not matter to this breed of human. ,,,We were used to every action was supposed to be considered on its own merits, and thus justice could be applied to everyone regardless of their economic or social status.,,,unfortunately in present Malaysia today, however the guidelines for human conduct were based on circumstances; on rules or laws established by those in power, and designed by them to sustain and extend their power. ,,,Under this bias system, individuals were not protected by absolute principles. Their lives and their fortunes were in the hands of changeable circumstances, as these circumstances were created by those in authority !.,,,Circumstantial ethics also meant that anything you could get by with was all right and did not leave a sense of guilt.,,,Under this racist UMNOputra system, the overruling obligation was the APPEARANCE of doing the "RIGHT" thing; not actually doing it. Form took precedence over content and what you saw or heard was often a facade instead of reality.,,,Morality in the UMNOputra context became something like a show. The primary concern was NOT to get caught in doing something that would be criticized or for which you might be punished. DOING something WRONG was no big deal cos there was NO SENSE of GUILT !.,,,my final take is UMNO must be desolved and a NEW political system or party be recreated with new political leadership that value morality and respect of the law for justice to all Malaysians. ,,,Racial and in fact also religious based political parties should also be 'Out-Lawed' in this country. ,,,Perhaps a two party system might work ?.i rest my case. (and am an apolitical type of individual)

World Conflicts and Malaysian be aware-lah
,,,Wars between nations are usually caused by territorial disputes, ideological rivalry, a lust for conquest or, unfortunately/occasionally, by diplomatic incompetence !.
,,,indeed, diplomatic incompetence remains one of the greatest dangers to the peace of the world.
,,,the Falklands war was a result of diplomatic misjudgement in London and Buenos Aires, and the Six Day War of 1967 was the result of Nasser's folly !.
,,,in fact, the world has never been at peace since the victory celebrations of 1945. They have never ceased !. Presently more than 40 countries in the world are in the unshaking grip of war, rebellion, foreign infiltration, terrorism or endemic banditry.
,,,there have been at least 80 wars since 1945, resulting in the deaths of between 15 and 30 million people. Many many millions have been driven from their homes too.
,,,what most people don't realised is that most of the conflicts in the world today are between peoples and races. Only a few are between nations, and even fewer are ideological.
.,,,if anything, the world has become more violent with each succeeding decade since the murderous '40.
,,,there are a few instances of a conscious rejection of past hatreds. In the 1950s, France and West Germany decided, consciously and deliberately, to end a quarrel reaching back centuries, one that had caused three wars within 70 years. This achievement is particularly admirable because the engine that powers most of the wars in today's world is ethnic hostility. Of that, apparently, there is no bloody end.
,,,mind you, hatred can be manifested in many different ways and many different places. Hatred can be inspired by ideology, like that of the Khmers Rouges or the Shining Path in Peru,by ancestral ethnic or religious animosities, like the Hindus and Muslims who slaughtered each other in India in 1947, or the Protestants and Catholics in Belfast, by racism, like the Americans in the South who, in the 1960s, beat up and sometimes murdered black 'freedom riders', by tribal rivalry, like the Tutsi and Hutu of Burundi and Rwanda.
,,,indeed, its all an extreme test for rationality and diplomacy that we MALAYSIAN must be made aware of-lah. Lets again not relearnt the hard way in keeping the peace and harmony within our country plus at all times also be prepared for war ?. too !.
i rest my case.
